Milk Thistle- Providing Silymarin 200mg
An extract from over 8500mg of Milk Thistle seed
Silymarin is the active principle from the fruit of Silybum marianum, better known as milk thistle, a plant that grows throughout the Mediterranean and naturalised in the UK since herbalists introduced it in the 16th century.
Milk thistle is one of the most extensively studied herbs in use today, with over 300 scientific studies on its chemistry and application. We use a standardised extract from mature seeds, to give a guaranteed level of 200mg silymarin per tablet.
New legislation came into force in April 2011 that requires many herbal products to be registered as Traditional Herbal Medicines. Lamberts® is committed to registering all our important herbs as Traditional Herbal Remedies (THR’s), and this lengthy and complex process is well underway.
In the meantime we can continue to sell through the stocks of those herbs that are classified under Section12/2 of the Medicines Act, including this product, to consumers as long as it is for their own personal use. Only 2 pots per order are permitted.
